[1] Greetings.
==================================================================
Hi All:
We have some answers to member help inquiries in the last issue. Any other
help?
For those of us who find trade shows to be effective, there is still time
to make the Atlanta Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Market. That venue is the
largest in the U.S., and well worth the trip. Most folks believe the
January shows are key, but often you find better deals at the fall shows.
Today we have information on Landfranplan. Tell us about your business
which will remain for posterity at our "Members: Who Are You?"
site. http://etailersdigest.com/resources/members/index.htm And we have a
form there for you to tell us about you. As I said when I first proposed
this idea, we have "known" each other for a long time, yet we often don't
know anything about each other. So, tell us who you are and what you do.
Now, let's get to everything for the retailer.
Sincerely
George Matyjewicz, PhD

[4] Atlanta Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Market
==================================================================
The Atlanta Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Market is the last order-writing
show of the year, September 11-13, 2004. This is a great opportunity to
build your southeast buyer base and add 2 points to your seniority point
base. A 10x10 booth is only $1580.00!
We will have about 200 Gift temporaries and 100+ Gourmet temporaries...in
one location - Building 3, Floor 1. We anticipate between 10,000 - 12,000
buyers in attendance.
The show is small enough for the buyers to walk the entire floor,
discovering product they would not see in July/Jan unless they were
shopping the category specifically.
Drayage - September is different from Jan/July. Drayage IS included in the
booth package for POV's. If you ship your product to Freeman in advance,
you will be charged a handling fee to bring it over to show site. There is
NO marshalling yard. You are allowed into the dock on a first-come,
first-served basis. Freeman will unload your product and bring it to your
booth.
The temps are now located together (Gift and Gourmet) in Building 3, Floor
1 for the first time. This will make move-in and move-out much easier with
direct unloading access from the street onto the exhibit floor.
Product in the Gift temporaries is a mix of gift, home accents, fashion
jewelry, garden, framed art, and imported as well as hand-made product.
Buyers are from the Southeast and made up of independent gift and home
furnishing stores, hotel/hospital gift shops, "mom & pops," specialty
stores, boutiques, decorators, etc. This show is also attended by regional
theme parks (DisneyWorld, Dollywood).
Over 40% of buyers do not attend July or January, preferring the smaller,
more casual atmosphere of the Fall Gift market. This gives the exhibitor
another opportunity to establish new buyer accounts.
Please feel free to email me at mjackson at americasmart.com or call me at
404-220-2234 if you have any questions or if I can be of any
assistance. You can also visit our website at www.americasmart.com to
download the application to exhibit.
I hope to hear from you very soon!
