  • Director of Finance/Business Analyst at iVillage.com/FamilyPoint.com/iBaby.com, an Internet-based publicly-traded company. Responsible for all accounting, financial controls, collections, cash flow, implementation of new computer system, and supervision of sales, accounting and administrative staff.
  • Managed accounting and control functions at iBaby, the La Jolla, CA division of iVillage (working from NYC and Atlanta, traveling there three days a week).
  • Corporate Controller of the U.S. division of Chantelle Lingerie, a French manufacturer of women's intimate apparel. Responsible for all accounting, financial controls, collections, cash flow, implementation of new computer system, and supervision of sales, accounting and administrative staff.
  • Corporate Controller/Operations Manager at three manufacturers of women's sleepwear and intimate apparel comprised of multiple divisions, multiple factories and off-shore production. Responsible for all accounting, financial controls, cash flow, financial information technology systems and supervising accounting and administrative staff.

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Prepared due diligence reports, budget projections and financial statements for accountants at three companies preparing for IPO, merger or buyout.
  • Prepared all representations and warrants for buy out by iVillage
  • Prepared all financial reports and schedules for consolidation at corporate offices in France, which included a 30 page schedule together with demographic and industry statistics. Responsible for cash management of sixty bank accounts.
  • Supervised preparation of budget, cash flow projections and monthly financial statements for fifteen companies.
  • Implemented computer accounting systems and computerized apparel manufacturing systems, including the necessary controls and staff training.
  • Implemented a unique method of collections of receivables that has proven successful at many companies - from 120+ to 45 days at one company; 90% improvement at another.
  • Noted for reductions in costs for expenses, outside help and accounting fees. Established a system for reclaiming of charge backs.
  • Liaison with outside auditors to assure compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies and unions in preparation of certified audits.
  • Maintained banking relationships which included letters of credit, loans, investments, factors and normal banking functions.
